Privacy Policy
This page explains what Stardust Daily actually collects, in plain language, and why. Short version: we don't sell your data, we collect the minimum needed to run the site, and the newsletter is opt-in with a one-click unsubscribe.
The newsletter
If you subscribe to the daily newsletter, we store your email address and locale preference. We use confirmed opt-in: you'll get one email asking you to confirm before you're added to the sending list. Emails are sent using Resend, our email delivery provider. Unsubscribing is a single click on any email and takes effect immediately.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to see aggregate traffic and page-load performance — how many people visit which pages, roughly how fast pages load. This is designed to work without tracking cookies and doesn't build an individual profile of you.
Security logging
For security and to detect automated traffic, our servers log basic request data for each page view — the page visited, an approximate location and IP address, and browser information — for up to 30 days, after which it's automatically deleted. This data isn't sold or shared, and is used only to keep the site working correctly.
Error tracking
When error tracking is active, technical error reports (like a stack trace) may be captured when something breaks, to help us fix it. These reports focus on technical details, not your personal browsing history.
Cookies
Stardust Daily sets one functional cookie for every visitor — NEXT_LOCALE — to remember your language preference between visits. It isn't used for tracking or advertising. A separate session cookie is used only when staff log into the Writer Studio; regular visitors never receive that one.
Third-party links
Some pages may include links to external sites or products, clearly labeled where present. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop sending you email, at any time — see Contact. If you're in the EU or UK, this includes rights under GDPR; if you're in California, rights under the CCPA. We'll respond to the email address you write from.
Children's privacy
Stardust Daily isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above.
